CARE – Cancer Aid Resource & Education, Inc. is a local nonprofit organization serving Las Cruces and Dona Ana County, New Mexico. Through partnership with the Community Foundation of Southern New Mexico (CFSNM), CARE has an endowment to assure CARE’s mission survives far into the future. As an incentive, the Community Foundation has agreed to match funds earmarked for the endowment with $1.50 for every $1 raised by CARE.
Come to CARE’s Endowment Fundraiser event, “Bobby Socks & Lollipops Dinner Show with Remember Then” on the Plaza de Las Cruces on Friday, August 23rd from 7 pm to 10 pm. Our 50’s local band, “Remember Then” will include special guests, the “Bobbi Sox Singers” and a surprise guest! Tickets are $20 each which includes a food truck dinner with four food truck menu options just for this event. Gates open at 7:00 pm. Food Trucks serving at 7:00 pm. Show begins at 8:00 pm. Come early to enjoy dinner and a show. Adult beverages will be served at cash bar. Who does CARE help?
CARE helps people who reside in Doña Ana County who have recently been diagnosed with any type of cancer, within one year of a positive cancer diagnosis with a diagnostic biopsy, and are in active treatment for their cancer receiving chemotherapy, radiation, surgery or a transplant.
What does CARE help with?
CARE helps with gas cards to get to treatment, groceries and nutritional supplements, health insurance if self pay, utilities, a rent or mortgage payment, phone, and lodging and more if needing to travel for treatment, lodging, airfare, etc. so that patients can concentrate on their treatment, healing, recovery and survivorship.
