8th Annual Team Zane Celebrity Waiter benefiting CARE!
CARE is very grateful to be a part of this great community event!
What is this all about? This event began by a father, Jeffrey Silva, who had so much love for his son, Zane Silva. Through his hardship of Zane being born premature, he made a promise. Zane Silva, the namesake of the event, was born 10 weeks premature and doctors had grim predictions for his survival. “When Zane was in in the hospital, I prayed,” said Jeffrey Silva, Zane’s father. “I told God, if you save Zane’s life, I will do whatever I can to help this community.”
As we fast forward to the 8th Annual Team Zane Celebrity Waiter event. Zane and Jeffrey have taken an amazing leap. They have opened their wings and are now selecting different local non profit organizations to be the beneficiary of the Team Zane Celebrity Waiter event. CARE is the winner of the 8th Annual Team Zane Celebrity Waiter event! And now, it feels heaven sent that CARE will be the beneficiary of this 8th Annual event! These proceeds will go right back into the community to help children and families who are in active cancer treatment; they are receiving chemotherapy, radiation, a surgery or a bone marrow/stem cell transplant. Our Care and Support Program will help them with non-medical needs/basic living needs: gas cards to get to treatment, food/nutritional supplements, utilities, rent, mortgage payment, lodging and meals if needing to travel for treatment, etc.
