Sunday Funday at the Plaza with CARE

CARE’s “Shared Vision of Community” in Las Cruces and  Doña Ana County

CARE is hosting “Sunday Funday at the Plaza with CARE” to promote a very positive sense of community by collaborating with nonprofit organizations, human service organizations, community organizations, art groups/organizations, artists, youth groups, vendors, entertainers. Simply put, any individual or entity that has something to offer or showcase to our community. 

This is an opportunity for all to come together and participate together and work in partnership to promote our missions, visions, culture and products to our community.  It also gives us the platform to interact and inform our community the role each of us has taken to make our community a better place to live, all while enjoying entertainment and food from two supporting food trucks.

CARE is very proud to take a very positive role in our community by providing a needed human service, assisting our local cancer patients.  We are grateful for our community’s support.  We want to inspire community, optimism, respect, values and empathy all in one place.  We are welcoming our community to join us by participating for free by either having a booth, entertaining or having an activity. We all have something to offer our community and we want to foster community relationships and promote the true sense of community through collaboration, activities and fun.

“Sunday Funday at the Plaza with CARE” will be a once a month event beginning in February after our RACE FOR CARE 5K Run/1K Fun Walk “Kickoff” and ending in October:

The following are the event details:

WHEN:  First Sunday of the Month, February through October, beginning February 4, 2018

WHERE:  Plaza de Las Cruces

TIME:  3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. – Please note time may change in hot weather months.

COST TO PARTICIPANTS:  Free

2018 PARTICIPATION FORM – SUNDAY FUNDAY AT THE PLAZA WITH CARE

We want our community to know that CARE helps save lives through the support we provide to our local cancer patients.  The Care and Support program assists residents in Doña Ana County who are currently undergoing any type of cancer treatments with financial support in the forms of gas cards, groceries, utilities, rent or mortgages, lodging while traveling for treatment, airfare, parking and more. CARE establishes and assists in services, resources, and general education to support the challenges many Doña Ana County cancer patients, children and adults face while receiving treatments.
