La Gran Fiesta will celebrate southern New Mexico’s traditions, people and great food! It will be held at Plaza de Las Cruces in downtown Las Cruces! La Gran Fiesta is expected to be a tourist attraction to scenic Las Cruces. This special three-day event will benefit the community by creating an attraction that has an emphasis on “culture”, “people”, “food”, “arts”, “outdoor entertainment and recreation”, “fun”, “family”, “southwest”, “quality of life”, “tourism”, “economic impact”, “goodwill” and “paying it forward”. La Gran Fiesta will focus on the idea that attending La Gran Fiesta will be an adventure that feeds the soul.
We are expecting 500 to 1,000 people per day to attend this special event! We will be promoting this event through television, newspaper, radio, poster distribution, social media and word of mouth. The event will include a “kickoff” with a special ceremony “CARE Honors National POW/MIA Recognition Day, a parade, kids booth, vendors, music, including mariachis and bands, entertainment including folklorico dancers, games, fundraising, competitions: including the Lumbre Chile Eating Competition and a competition that will honor a local icon, Roberto Estrada of Roberto’s Mexican Food, Roberto’s Enchilada Cook-Off Contest, which will include restaurants vying for the title of having the best tasting enchilada in 2018 and more.
This special event is one of New Mexico’s largest cancer fundraisers. We are recruiting sponsors. We will also have an “evening and night time entertainment” on Friday, September 21 and Saturday, September 22 with an an emphasis to “pay it forward” with a “VIP Table Sponsorship, VIP Meet ‘n Greet Ticket and General Admission Ticket.

Friday, September 21, 2018 – 5:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.
Saturday, September 22, 2018 – 5:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.
Sunday, September 23, 2018 – 12:00 to 5:00 p.m.
Please Note: A. B. Quintanilla III & The Kumbia King Allstarz – Meet ‘n Greet will be after their performance on Saturday, September 22, 2018. Their performance will be from 10:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.
Ticket admissions may be purchased at Eventbrite.com as follows:
(1) 2-Day Ticket, both Friday, Sep 21 and Saturday, Sep 22 performances is $30 per person.
(2) Friday, September 21,2018 Performance Ticket is $10 per person.
(3) Saturday, September 22, 2018 Performance Regular Admission ticket is $25 per person.
(4) A. B. Quintanilla Meet ‘n Greet/VIP ticket is $100 per person; limited tickets will be sold.
Event Entrance Tickets/Gate Ticket:
(1) Tickets at the Door/Entrance at the event on Friday, September 21, 2018 will be $10 per person.
(2) Tickets at the Door/Entrance at the event on Saturday, September 22, 2018 will be $30 per person.
PLEASE NOTE: (1) VIP Tables will be sold through sponsorship packet, which can be downloaded below. (2) Children 10 and under are free to enter.
On Sunday, September 23, the days event will begin at 12:00 p.m. and will end at 5:00 p.m. The festivities will begin with more local entertainment and competitions. There is not a ticket sale for Sunday. We do encourage attendees to make a contribution to CARE.

Early Bird ticket holders will have 2nd level reserved seating
Regular Admission ticket holders will have 3rd level seating and may bring their own regular chairs
Tickets sold at the Door/Entrance will have 3rd level seating and may bring their own regular chairs

We are expecting over 2,000 people to attend throughout our September events! Our La Gran Fiesta Jubilee of Life Walk will be held at Young Park on September 15 and will be an evening walk. More info is on the tab labeled Jubilee of Life Walk. The following weekend we will carry on La Gran Fiesta at Plaza de Las Cruces. The event will include a parade, vendors, music, entertainment and more. Entertainment will include: mariachis, bands, folklorico dancers, games, fundraising, and competitions: Roberto’s Enchilada Cook-Off Contest, Lumbre Chile Eating Contest and more. This special event will include all these events within the month of September, including three-days at Plaza de Las Cruces, September 21-23, 2018. All of these events in September will benefit our community by creating an attraction that has an emphasis onculture, people, food, arts, outdoor entertainment and recreation, fun, family, southwest, quality of life, tourism, economic impact and an emphasis to “pay it forward”.
CARE’s focus is to provide assistance to cancer patients and their families residing in Doña Ana County to help them cope with their cancer journey. CARE provides financial assistance to patients in active treatment with basic life necessities: gas cards to get to treatment, groceries, utilities, rent, lodging/meals, etc. When businesses, organizations and individuals help their local community in this way, it spreads love and hope and helps cancer patients heal because they know that people care about their health while they are going through their treatment and recovery. La Gran Fiesta is truly a unique community giving effort that helps save lives.
